After Surgery

About 8 hours after the surgery they made me get up and try to walk a little bit, it wasn't too bad because I couldn't feel any pain, never did even after the surgery.  But that day when they brought Abby in for her feeding, she wouldn't drink the formula and then started having some breathing problems.  So they immediately took her to NICU and found out she had low blood sugar, which they said was normal because I had gestational diabetes.  So they kept an eye on her, but she was having trouble learning how to suck from the bottle.  Her Daddy and I had to go down to the NICU at feeding times and try to figure out how to feed her, trying different techniques like rubbing her chin/throat area to stimulate her reflexes.  It seemed to work a little, but she had trouble for several weeks although her blood sugar normalized and on Saturday November 18 we were both released.
